"Into whatsoever city or town ye shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide till ye go thence. And when ye come into an house, salute it. And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you. And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet." Matt.10

Those of you who like puzzles may enjoy reading about my recent experience. I have generated a webpage entitled My Doubling the Cube Encounter at the GRAHAM HANCOCK MESSAGE BOARDS. That page illustrates the hijacking method where you try to post something, and someone comes in and changes the subject to something that they want to make it appear that they know about. Some do and some don't, know that is.
I have been writing about the timing of California earthquakes for 30 years. When asked, I point to three factors; Pisces solar eclipses (in February and March), the Jupiter/Neptune conjunctions, and high tides. I will point out that none of these were my ideas. I have a copy of a 1930's article that points to the fact that a 4 Pisces eclipse preceded the 1906 quake, and that a 6 Pisces eclipse preceded the 1933 quake. I have another article from the 1970's which points to the 6 Pisces eclipse before the 1971 quake, and notes that all three of these quakes occurred near the conjunction of Jupiter and Neptune.
In 1983 some 'scientists' added the 1952 Kern County quake to the 1933 quake and the 1971 quake and pointed to another quake in 1987 (+ or - 2 yrs). A 6 Pisces eclipse preceded that quake too. The scientist suggested that the 'moon's maximum declination' (which happens every 18.6 years) was the cause of the quakes. If you look, you will see that the 1906 quake happened at the opposite pole, when the moon was at its minimum declination (which happens every other 18.6 years). Pisces solar eclipses happen every 9.3 year years, at both poles.
SO, in the 1980's I was suggesting that we look for Pisces eclipses and Jupiter/Neptune conjunctions as one of the times when larger California quakes happen. Here we are in 2010 and Jupiter has passed Neptune and Pisces eclipses are behind us. The 6.5 quake on Jan 9th was the largest quake in California since 2005. In 2005 the tides peaked Jan 10th and the quakes were in June; in 2010 they peak Jan 30th.
In Dec 2008 I posted a video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=usGH3iLoDwQ) where I predicted a California quake for the new moon on Sept 18th, 2009. The quake occurred on the 19th and was the largest in the state up to that point that year. It was followed by a 5.2 just before the full moon. That was topped by a 5.8 just before the eclipse on Dec 31st. The 6.5 on Jan 9, and the Haiti quake happened on both sides of the sun/Venus conjunction on Jan 11th.
I want to make two points, 1) that the Sept 19th quake that my video targeted is where this series of recent quakes started, and 2) I don't know if it will top out at the 6.5 quake. I get the sense that that will happen when Jupiter catches Uranus and opposes Saturn later in 2010.
The 6.5 quake off of Eureka, California happened Jan 9th, just before Venus conjoined the sun (J 11). The M 7 quake in Haiti followed the conjunction. The M 8.8 quake in Chile happened at the full moon which was opposing the sun and Jupiter as they conjoined.
Cat predicts 50 deaths in RI nursing home. (I know you have probably already seen this story but this is what kids used to call 'heavy' daddy.) A cat with an uncanny ability to detect when nursing home patients are about to die has proven itself in around 50 cases by curling up with them in their final hours, according to a new book.
