The Master's Square
Here we see an astrology chart prepared by Johannnes Kepler. As you can see it has a sanctuary at the center and 12 gates, three in the north, three in the east, south and west. Notice how the oblique square is twice the size (area) of the inner square, and how the outer square is twice the size of that. See the 'no words' proof for the isoceles right triangle on the previous page and compare.
Below we see Vedic Astrology charts that also used this style. On the right you can see that the inner square is one quarter of the area of the outer one. Kepler used the template on the left and added a central square.
Here we see the two templates overlaid on one another. This shows that the squares in the southern chart are half the size of those in the northern chart.
